Life is a bugger at times Frank. I am really sorry to hear that the bubbly, effervescent and sage Pat has died. We had loads of giggles, plenty of deep discussions and just a lovely time when our paths crossed, mostly, latterly, in Salisbury, pre- and post- the Russian poisoning. We would discuss you, your retirement, Brexit, Spain, her future challenges, how much she loved the thought of spending more time with you, VSO, her love of Vietnam….in fact a vast array of topics that we would find solutions for, well, mostly. Even your possible marriage cropped up more than a few times. Her energy was infectious, and I would always leave our meetings feeling buoyed up and in a very positive frame of mind. This was her affect on all around her.
